200 youths train as PCG volunteers

About 200 young men and women have trained to become auxiliary members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to assist local government units (LGUs) more particularly in times of calamities.

Former Abucay Councilor Jayson Marcelo, Lt. Commander who spearheaded the training activities in Barangay Mabayo, Morong, Bataan, said after the training course the young men and women more particularly those who have taken four-year college course will have the chance to be with PCG.

After a six-month training with allowance the graduates could become regular members of PCG, said Marcelo who added that life insurance will be provided.

The group belong to Bataan Squadron Auxiliary Matikas 111 under Lt. Commander Marcelo.
